Last night, Elizabeth Debicki won her very first Emmy at the 76th ceremony for her role as Princess Diana in The Crown.
Oh, and did I mention, her look was also a subtle nod to the late Princess of Wales? The actress nodded to her role in a stunning backless Dior gown (which she paired with De Beers dangling earrings) for a look that was utterly timeless. Of course, her makeup for the evening was also immaculate, both sculpted and fresh, but not overly done.
Misha Shahzada, who did Debicki’s makeup for the ceremony shared the inspiration for the evening, saying, “for Elizabethās Emmy Awards glam, I wanted to embrace the elegance of soft pinks and nudes that whisper beauty. It felt like the perfect pairing with the timeless allure of her black velvet Dior dress.ā The key to the fresh and enhancing look, came down to a few products.
First, the actress’ skin was prepped with products from the Dior Prestige line, including La Micro-Huile de Rose Activated Serum. Then, to ensure her base was extra glowy, Shahzada used the cult favorite Dior Forever Glow Veil, before layering on complexion products to even the winner’s complexion. And the key to nailing a soft pink flush that comes from within? That would be two Rouge Dior Blush Colour & Glow in the shades #257 Dioriviera and #100 Diorissimoāone to bring a touch of life to the skin, the other to enhance Debicki’s already striking bone structure.
The eyes for the look remained neutral and defined so as to keep the look pared down, as were the lips. For Debicki’s lips, Shahzada utilized Rouge Dior Contour to amplify the natural shape, and Dior Addict Lip Maximizer, for a a touch of light and reflection.
All in all, the look was a masterclass of fresh makeup that works just as well for evening as it would for the daytime.
